Posted by Amota Eromanga on August 3, 2013 at 3:15 AM

Sport officer Willy Uan from the Ministry of Internal and Social Affairs (MISA) has reported that the Kiribati National Championships (Runga 2013) will commence in 9 weeks time. Though he does not mention the exact dates of the games, SportingPulse states that the games will be held from 21st September until 5th October this year 2013 and that preparations are currently underway.

Willy Uan affirms that 18 islands have confirmed their participation in the games. However, two islands - Arorae and Banaba - have agreed that their players currently residing on South Tarawa and Betio will represent them. Registration and confirmation of participation in the Runga 2013 closes at the end of this month - August.
