Everyone got a boti (place) inside the first mwaneba at Buariki except Tabwakea and Bakoa! So while everybody was sitting at their chosen boti, Nareau spoke to Tabwakea, "Your boti is aonteaba (land) and you will administer it!" He turned to Bakoa and said, "And yours is marawa (ocean)!"
Hatred between the two began and it continued until these present days. Thus, Tabwakea often won over Bakoa.
Nareau then spoke to aonteaba,"Produce as much as you can for the sake of all."
Then he looked up at the sky and said, "Make clouds and pour rain so everything grows well."
Finally he spoke to the marawa,""Produce as much as you can for the sake of all."
Nareau then stood silently. He was thinking of something. At last he spoke to the crowd, "People! Eat, drink and do whatever you like. The land, sky and ocean are all yours! I Nareau have declared that!"
After a short pause, he added, "Bear as many children as you can unite and live together as friends and you will be called I-Tungaru and your land shall be called Tungaru which extends from the North in the North to South in the South."
When that was done, he told everyone to get out of the mwaneaba and to head back to Routanikarawa where they would finish the work.
